If you are looking forward to a major home renovation such as a whole house remodel, room addition, kitchen renovation, kitchen expansion, or bathroom renovation, we invite you to understand the remodeling design process that you will be embarking on if you decide to reach out to us for a free consultation. Our consultative design approach is as unique as our home remodeling and design expertise!
We begin estimating before plans are drawn up. We have found that when we perfect the conceptual drawings with homeowners then the process of creating the architectural (build) drawings goes much smoother, much faster, and is a lot less costly for our clients. We present you with a formal all-inclusive estimate before you make any commitments to us for your home renovation build. Our estimates include realistic budgets for your key finish materials based on the conversations we have with you during our multi-step process which results in a well-defined and all inclusive cost prior to construction.
Our Consultative Design Approach
This is an “information gathering” meeting to discuss your wish list, budget expectations, timeline requirements and to brainstorm ideas. We will discuss your “wish list” and “must haves”, what you cherish and what you don’t. This is an interview to see if we are a good fit for one another.
Our team will create conceptual drawings, rough budgets, and prepare a 1st draft of a proposal based on the initial consultation. This is done internally and generally takes 5-7 business days to complete.
During this meeting you will review concept sketches with your design consultant to determine if we are on the same page for your home renovation. We will ask for your feedback, make suggestions, and re-align scope of work as necessary.
Narrowing The Goal Post
We will repeat steps 2 and 3 as necessary until the conceptual drawing and budgets are properly aligned and a final proposal is agreed upon.
Upon finalizing the concept, scope of work, and budgets we will ask for your business. We have detailed contracts that specify what is and what is not included in your home remodeling or addition project.
