Beach Themed Bathroom Remodel

This beach-themed bathroom remodel in Oceanside started as a dream more than a year ago.  Our clients reached out to us to renovate their master bathroom, selected us as their general contractor – and then had to pause the project.  Fast forward 18 months and they reached out to us again to re-evaluate their original design.  We made a few changes and began the process over again.

Our client was beaming at the end of the project and emailed us the following:   “I walked in and saw my vision for the entire room had truly become a reality.  I cried (tears of joy).  This bathroom is so awesome, elegant but casual.”  We were thrilled to be a part of turning her dream bathroom into a reality!

What we built

1. Bathroom Renovation

The master bathroom was attached to the master bedroom by a wall that was not entirely closed in.  We framed up that wall and added a door frame so the bathroom would have some privacy, which the clients felt they were currently lacking.  The original shower was quite small and was located next to a closet so we removed the closet and expanded the shower.  Our clients were budget conscientious so we assisted with some options that saved them on their budget.  One of those decisions was to keep the existing tub in the same location, saving them the need to purchase a new bathtub.  Our clients did their own demolition which saved them a little bit, although we highly discourage this practice (our demo crews are experienced, not a large part of the cost of a remodel, and can get the work done much cleaner and quicker than most homeowners).

This bathroom features a Wayfair Battle Creek writing desk as a makeup vanity area as well as a Cabana Bay vanity with a premade solid countertop with integral sink and backsplash.  The tile flooring was laid in a 33% stagger with 12 x 24 Explorer London tile selected out of our showroom.
