Kitchen Remodel San Diego

This is a stunning kitchen remodel in San Diego which was completed in early 2017. The home had the original 1968 kitchen so the difference from before to after is amazing!  Our client, who lives in Point Loma, wanted to remodel her 11′ x 10′ kitchen. Her goal was to leave the her appliances and sink the same location and remove 6 foot pony wall which obstructed her beautiful view.  She also wanted to update her flooring in the kitchen through to the dining area.

The homeowner had a few hurdles with finding contractors who were willing to work with her on this remodel.  She lives in a high-rise condo which has very little parking availability.  Bringing materials in for the remodel was no small feat!  She was an older woman who wanted to make sure she felt comfortable with the contractor.  We spoke with and met her daughters several times and always included her power of attorney any time there was a conversation regarding finances.

What we built (Kitchen Remodel San Diego)

1. Kitchen cabinets

Our client selected American made Starmark Cabinets.  The wood type she selected was Maple and the finish was Cappuccino/Chocolate.  They were accented in the Statford door style

2. Kitchen Countertops and Backsplash

The countertop she selected as a beautiful Pacific San Quartz which was purchased from one of our preferred vendors, daltile.  The countertop was finished with a bullnose edge.  To finish the look, we installed 3×6 Straw Glassy backsplash with antique white sanded grout.

3. Kitchen and dining room flooring

The remodeled kitchen now flows beautifully into the dining room with Nu Trav Ceame 18×18 tile which was laid diagonally.
