Master Bedroom and Bathroom Remodel

When we originally spoke to our San Diego clients, they specified a desire for a master bedroom and bathroom remodel that would reflect their desire for a Japanese Zen design. They had a very clear vision of what they wanted to accomplish and we assisted them with completing the design and building the new bathroom.

What we built

1. Bathroom renovation

Our clients desired a “zen” bathroom, a place where they could retreat, which would bathe them in serenity.  They had a specific desire to have an area where they could bathe in a tub but not worry about water splashing out to the rest of the area.  The final design included a shower area that entered into the tub space.  This Japanese style master bedroom and bathroom remodel turned out even more beautifully than we had anticipated and the owners have stated they love their new space.

2. Master Bedroom Renovation

With our clients desire to have a Japanese style master bedroom and bathroom, we added a shoji door going from the master bedroom to the master bathroom.  In traditional Japanese architecture, a shoji is door, a window, or a room divider which consists of translucent paper over a frame of wood which holds together a lattice of wood or bamboo.  The oriental shoji door going from the master bedroom renovation to the master bathroom truly completed the desired look and feel to the renovated space.
